Race For Life, over £1000 raised!- 18 July 2010
On July 18 Fay McArdle and Charlotte Harkin completed the Race For Life along with Lynda Brocbank representing Crescent Lodge Design our website designers. The event that we took part in was at Redditch Arrow Valley Countryside Park and had some 5000 participants. Fortunately the weather was fair and and the route was kind to us. Top Temps had previously contacted all our business contacts including suppliers and clients. We said that for every feedback that we received on our new website we would donate £2.50 to Cancer Research, and we managed to raise over £1000 which we are fantastically pleased with! We would like to thank all those who gave us feedback and we hope that you enjoyed visiting our new site! Hopefully we will see you again soon!

Sport Relief
“What a result! Over £5 million pounds raised by Sainsburys colleagues and customers and still rising!”
Sainsburys colleagues have shown an amazing degree of imagination in raising funds for the worthy Sport Relief campaign this year.
From a St Albans to Basingstoke cycle ride to the crazy Holborn head office colleagues doing a ‘Flash mob dance’ to the song ‘Call On Me’ to help raise money.
At Rye Park depot in Hoddesdon, the senior team raised over £1000 by collectively cycling over 1000 kilometers by using the Gym equipment. “ I’m still sore” said Engineering Manager Danny Lock over 2 weeks later. The sites Transport Manager, Steve Powell, who holds a black belt in Aikido (think Steven Seagal), agreed to be thrown over 500 times onto a judo mat, a feat that took an aching 2 hours, raising £500 in the process.

Sport Relief was conceived in 2002, when the BBC sport and Comic Relief created a new initiative to fund raise. This is why Sport relief and ‘Red Nose Day’ alternate different years. A large part of Comic and Sport Relief’s money helps projects in the UK.
